Overview

  • Applies to their website (EcoWheelRide.com) and mobile app.

  • By using the service or booking, you agree to these terms.

  • EcoWheel Taxi Ltd. is registered in England and Wales (company number: 13369220),  in Honiton EX14 1LA.

  • Key Provisions

 

1. Use and Registration

  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of forming contracts.

  • You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and liable for all activity on your account.

 

 

2. Booking & Payments

  • Bookings may be placed by both account and non-account holders.

  • Account customers are invoiced monthly and must pay within 25 days; late payments may incur interest and fees.

  • Non-account customers book via the app or site; drivers then accept the booking, forming a direct contract with the driver. Fares is allways incouding VAT. You can ask for an invoice or a receipt anytime.

 

 

3. Booking Confirmations & Cancellations

  • EcoWheel may refuse a booking at its discretion.

  • Accepted bookings are confirmed via SMS, email, app, or verbally.

  • Cancellation charges may apply—refer to their separate Cancellation Policy.

 

 

4. Pricing & Waiting Charges

  • Private transport companies may use a flexible pricing model; however, the board of EcoWheel Taxi Ltd. has decided to follow the maximum fare table set by East Devon District Council, which is set out in the “Pick-Time Charge and Fare” menu.
  • Fares are fixed based on Call-Out-Fee, distance, pickup/drop-off points, and Pick-Time charge include VAT. It may also include additional fees, after which we may charge you for additional services requested.
  • For non-airport pickups: passengers have a 5-minute grace period; waiting beyond that may incur additional charges.

 

 

5. Airport Pickups

  • When booking an airport ride, you must provide your flight number.

  • There’s a 30-minute complimentary wait time post-arrival. After that, waiting charges may apply.

 

 

6. Vehicle Types & Availability

  • Available vehicles include SUV (4 seats), Nissan E NV200 (6 seats), or branded taxis—availability may vary. EcoWheel may substitute an equally suitable vehicle if needed.

 

 

7. Cancellation & Soiling Charges

  • If the vehicle is already en route or the booking is canceled under 60 minutes before pickup, you may be charged 100% of the journey price.

  • A “soiling charge” followed the East-Devon District Council legislation, £88 may apply if you soil the vehicle.

 

 

8. Customer Obligations

  • You must:

    • Pay all applicable charges.

    • Behave lawfully and respectfully; intoxicated passengers may be refused service.

    • Keep control of luggage (EcoWheel isn’t liable for lost/damaged luggage).

    • Wear seatbelts.

    • Cover any cancellation, repair, or cleaning charges due to your actions.

 

 

9. EcoWheel’s Liability

  • EcoWheel is not liable for delays, poor estimates, or indirect losses (e.g. business interruption), except in cases of death or personal injury.

  • Claims or complaints must be made within 3 working days of the journey.

  • Their total liability is covered at Taxi Public Liability £5 M, except in cases of death or personal injury.

 

 

10. Website/App Usage

  • EcoWheel may update their terms anytime; continuing to use the service means you accept the latest version.

  • The site and app are not guaranteed to be error- or interruption-free. EcoWheel isn’t liable for downtime or bugs.

  • You must not misuse the site—for instance, no data scraping, hacking, reverse engineering, or use of automated bots.

 

 

11. Intellectual Property

  • EcoWheel owns all rights to the content, branding, and technology.

  • You don’t gain intellectual property rights by using the service.

 

 

12. Termination

  • Business accounts can be terminated by either party with 30 days’ written notice.

  • EcoWheel may suspend accounts immediately if terms are breached.

 

 

13. Legal Terms

  • The agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales; disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.

  • If any part of the terms is invalid, the rest still apply.

  • The terms constitute the entire agreement between you and EcoWheel.


Cancellation Policy Highlights

  • This separate policy outlines refund eligibility when canceling in advance:

    • > 30 days before journey: 100% refund.

    • 15–30 days: 75% refund.

    • 3–10 days: 40% refund.

    • Within 3 days or same day: No refund.

  • No-shows or late availability may be chargeable.

  • If the supplier is more than 15 minutes late (or 30 minutes for airport), and you don’t use the service, you get a full refund.

  • Pre-paid deposits adjust based on cancellation timing.

  • Refunds are processed within 5 business days to the original payment card.
