This policy applies to:
All drivers operating under the company.
Dispatch and customer service staff.
Passengers who use the company’s private chauffeur services.
Inspection: At the end of each trip, drivers must check the vehicle for any belongings left behind.
Reporting: If an item is found, it must be reported immediately to the company’s Lost & Found desk/dispatch.
Secure Handling: The item should be safely stored until handed over to the designated company office.
Non-appropriation: Drivers are strictly prohibited from using, keeping, or discarding passenger property.
Passengers are responsible for their personal belongings during the trip.
The company will make reasonable efforts to return lost items but does not assume liability for lost or forgotten belongings.
Logging Items: All found items will be logged in a Lost & Found Register, noting the date, time, driver, vehicle, and description of the item.
Storage: Items will be securely stored in the company’s designated Lost & Found area.
Claiming Property:
Passengers must provide a detailed description of the lost item and proof of ownership.
A valid ID may be required upon collection.
Unclaimed Property:
Items unclaimed after 90 days (or as per local law) will be donated to charity or disposed of appropriately.
Perishable items may be discarded immediately.
The company will take reasonable care in safeguarding found items but is not liable for:
The loss or damage of items before they are reported to the company.
Delays in recovery caused by lack of accurate passenger information.
Any employee found violating this policy (e.g., keeping or misusing lost items) may face disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
